Alvin leads the Data Science and Engineering practise at the URA Design and Planning Lab. His portfolio is concerned with the creation of digital capabilities and strategic data assets through research and cross organisational partnerships. This includes planning and coordination of R&D projects funded by national research programmes, as well as in-house research and technology development projects. Alvin holds a PhD in Engineering from KULeuven in Belgium, and Master of Design from LASALLE college of the Arts in Singapore. His scientific and technical interests are in the applications of Artificial Intelligence, Geospatial Modelling and Simulation to urban planning, in particular Integrated Land Use Transport Planning.

In this talk, Alvin will describe the role of Data Science in URA, showcase the way the way Data Science is used in Urban Planning, and discuss how computational methods and tools are developed and improved by his team.

Braham Djidjelli is the Chief Product Officer and Co-founder of Hugosave, Singapore’s first Wealthcare® and savings app. He oversees Hugosave’s financial services and is responsible for driving the product strategy, execution, and design, with the vision to provide the best-in-class experience for all users on their financial fitness journey. He serves as a Founding Member and Ambassador of Home Grown Club, a networking community for high-growth entrepreneurs in the United Kingdom. He is also an expert-in-residence at tech incubator Imperial Enterprise Lab and has been the co-founder of entrepreneur consultancy firm Hire&Scale since 2017.

He was previously the co-founder as well as Chief Operating and Product Officers with Jobflix, London’s top artificial intelligence-enabled matchmaking site for employers. He has also held key leadership roles with various tech engineering companies where he played a strategic role in designing and engineering products to improve efficiency for the recycling and waste management industry.

Braham is deeply passionate about the fintech ecosystem. He hopes to share his wealth of experience and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs to make financial fitness attainable and sustainable for all.

Yong Chen is the Systems Engineering Manager for Singapore at Palo Alto Networks. In this role, he leads the pre-sales systems engineering team and helps securing customers digital transformation journey towards cloud to drive business agility and growth. Yong Chen has more than 14 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry and is working closely with organisations to improve their security posture as well as develop cyber resilient infrastructure.

Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, Yong Chen was with ST Engineering Electronics (Info-Security) for 4 years, he was responsible for designing and building cybersecurity solutions for Singapore government agencies. Peter is currently working as a security manager and risk assessment consultant. His past roles include assignments for information governance role in government sector jobs and IT management roles in aviation enterprises. He has been an active ISACA volunteer since 2014 and has supported the ISACA exams and awards.

Yong Chen holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore. Outside of work, Yong Chen enjoys spending time with family and loves jogging.

Joe looks after various enterprise IT programs under the Technology Chapter, such as the customer identity & access management, retail related customer 360 system,  enterprise portal & content management systems, , micro-services, e-services, mobile services, instant feedback system, indoor location & way finding services as well as enterprise customer relationship management services. Other key areas that are under his care including enterprise data management (data lake, data extract/transform/load, data warehouse, master data management, advanced data modeling & analytics and enterprise chatbot with artificial intelligence capabilities.)
