MY BODY IS MY TEMPLE

Category
Fashion Design

This collection delves into the exploration of womanhood and femininity, the discomforts associated with a woman's beauty, and her relationship with her own body - thus diving into the world of extreme forms of beauty, specifically beauty practices in various tribes worldwide.

It is inspired by extreme forms of beauty, such as the Long Neck women of the Kayan tribe. From an outsider's perspective, these practices might be perceived as excruciating and excessive. However, within the context of these tribes' standards and ways of life, such practices define what it means to be beautiful.

MY BODY IS MY TEMPLE aims to provide women with empowering garments that can be adapted and switched around to match their moods and preferences, all while combining cultural traditions with modernity for women.

How Suphasiri

I adhere to the design philosophy of "living to create", driven by a commitment to infuse passion and authenticity into my work. I aspire to constantly challenge myself by producing designs that showcase my technical abilities and reflect my creative spirit.

I am best represented through the distinctive art and designs I bring to life. My forte is crafting robust and imaginative concepts, steering art direction, and creating compelling imagery. As a creative individual, I draw inspiration from my surroundings, allowing it to fuel my continuous artistic evolution. I enjoy translating these concepts into tangible forms, mainly through the creation of garments.
