Collecting merchandise is an integral part of the K-pop fan experience. It is common for fans to buy multiple versions and copies of an album to win a fan sign, draw their desired photocards, or demonstrate their support for their idols. However, this collection culture has generated thousands of tons of waste yearly, an alarming statistic that continues to increase exponentially. 'Sync' is a digitalised reimagination of the future of K-pop, where technology meets sustainability. The 'Sync' app hosts a community of fans who can collaborate on digital merchandise collections, collecting, trading, decorating and more.

Hi! I'm Wan Yi. Growing up around creatives, I have always been deeply immersed in art and design. With a foundation in fine arts, I naturally branched into design. Similarly to paintings, I hope to spark conversations with my designs, turning the mundane into something extraordinary. I enjoy doing comprehensive research, which helps me understand my project topics better, allowing me to sort out my ideas before I put pen to paper. I love all things cats, and I always find myself drawing inspiration from daily life and hobbies.
