Sustainable Cities and Communities
The declining significance of traditional crafts poses a significant threat to preserving cultural heritage in Kampong Glam. Modernisation and globalisation are diminishing recognition and support for these crafts, risking the loss of invaluable skills and cultural richness. By revitalising an overlooked space in Kampong Glam, Kaleido seeks to provide a platform for cultural exchange, encourage artistic expression, and foster a renewed sense of community appreciation for traditional crafts and processes. Through exhibitions, workshops, and interactive activities, it aims to highlight the significance of traditional crafts in the modern world, promote cross-cultural understanding and raise awareness of their undervalued beauty.
Diploma in Interior Architecture & Design
I am a dynamic learner passionate about interior design and architecture, focused on optimising user experiences in designed spaces. I develop my creativity through inspiration from various interests like exploring new places, drawing, and immersing myself in cinematic narratives. Which helps refine my aesthetic sense and understanding of spatial dynamics. My design philosophy revolves around site contextual integration and utilising light to create visually intriguing environments. I aim to craft visually appealing spaces that resonate with the inhabitants' individuality and requirements, blending functionality with personal narratives to foster a sense of belonging and improve quality of life.
