Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
Cafe de Comet solves the lack of accessible networking spaces and resources in Singapore, which limits youths and professionals from contributing their skills toward sustainable industry, innovation and resilient infrastructure. This repurposed space is rooted in community values, addressing local needs through proposed programmes like "Sustainable Series" and "Cultural Nights" while also unlocking collective potential through "Hackathon" events.
Cafe de Comet strives to foster genuine connections among like-minded individuals, providing a space to do work and encourage play while ensuring a resilient infrastructure, sustainability and fostering of innovation.

Khyla centres her design on creating environments that transcend their functional purposes to inspire feelings, promote creativity and build connections among people. She enjoys exploring the interplay between people and their surroundings while recognising that design serves a deeper purpose than aesthetics by improving the human experience. She views each project as a way to enhance spaces through adaptive reuse, revitalising old materials, or optimising layouts to serve evolving needs. Each new challenge prompts her to think about advancing her work by breaking traditional limits while integrating new ideas that provide tailored and flexible experiences.
