Life on Land
Due to rapid urbanisation and a lack of human understanding towards birdlife, bird habitats have been disrupted, leading them to occupy our spaces instead. Kallang Avian Nexus reimagines Kallang Airport as an urban ecosystem where people and birds coexist harmoniously. Inspired by bird migration patterns, it aims to educate the public on the importance of birds in our ecosystem and create a pitstop for them. The design encourages discovery, learning and play. It seamlessly blurs the boundary between urban environments and natural habitats to pave the way for a more sustainable city.
Diploma in Interior Architecture & Design
Hello, I'm Jolin, a designer driven by my passion to contribute to society in creative ways. I love all design forms, especially architecture, where you narrate a story through the physical creation of spaces and forms. Designing and making art makes me happy and helps me empathise with others by stepping into their shoes and understanding them from a different perspective. I enjoy sketching and making clay art. The idea of being able to impact people through design keeps me motivated. Ultimately, design goes beyond your personal needs and creates an experience for everyone to share.
