The Seletar Sanctuary

Category
Good Health and Well-being

This project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being by reimagining Seletar Airport as a mental wellness sanctuary for Gen Z youths, a generation facing rising stress and digital fatigue. The design promotes mental clarity, emotional balance, and social connection using structured geometries and open therapeutic spaces. Modular interiors provide stability, while outdoor viewing decks and walking paths encourage movement and reflection. Inspired by aviation's symbolism of freedom and hope, this space offers a retreat where individuals can disconnect, engage in healing activities, and regain control over their well-being.

As an aspiring interior designer, I believe in the transformative power of spaces to enhance well-being. My design philosophy integrates functionality, psychology, and aesthetics to create environments that promote mental and emotional balance. I am passionate about designing spaces that foster healing, connection, and mindfulness, particularly in healthcare and well-being. By blending structured forms with intuitive, human-centred design, I aim to create spaces that serve their intended purpose and evoke a sense of peace, stability, and inspiration for those who inhabit them.
