Reviving the Past breathes life into the urban infrastructure of Kallang's aviation heritage by integrating biodiversity with ecological connections, refining the surrounding landscape with structured trees for climbing purposes and areas for play, learning and rest.
The layout connects aircraft design with a tree-structured ecosystem to showcase the site's history. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15, which is raising sustainability awareness by incorporating biodiversity and green urban living. The proposal is designed to house nature's aviators, the birds, to inform the public about protective initiatives. My proposal produces a new embodiment of Kallang that bridges history and nature to educate the community through fun and experience.
Diploma in Interior Architecture & Design
I am someone who enjoys challenges and exploration in my life. I am always excited to discover new things and experiences. Even bad experiences have their merits. This is evident in my three years in TP's Interior Architecture & Design. I have gone through various experiences, such as my final projects for each year, an overseas trip to the Philippines and a 4-month internship experience in Thailand. I even managed to become a finalist for the Crowbar Awards!
My design philosophy whenever designing a space is: "How would I feel in the shoes of my users?"
