The Partner-In-Education Award recognises industry partners who have made significant contributions to TP’s growth and development over the past 35 years. Originally established in 2015 to commemorate significant partnership milestones in TP’s journey, this prestigious award is now in its third edition.
The award highlights the vital role of industry in enriching our students’ learning experience and preparing them for the future workforce by fostering stronger collaboration between academia and the industry.

Accenture Pte Ltd has been a valued partner of TP, supporting student internships and collaborative projects over the years. In early 2024, our partnership was further deepened through a Memorandum of Understanding, laying the groundwork for future collaborations that enhance student learning, career readiness, and industry engagement while leveraging Accenture’s domain expertise.
A key initiative under the MOU is the Innovation Hub-in-Residence, that will serve as a collaborative space on TP campus for cross-disciplinary projects in areas including Hospitality and Tourism, Marketing, Digital Innovation, Analytics and Software Engineering offering students’ early exposure to Accenture’s industry expertise.
Accenture aims to expand their engagement to include industry-aligned curriculum development, learning journeys, guest lectures, mentorship and job stints, helping to build a strong talent pipeline.
Amazon Web Services Singapore Private Limited (AWS) has been a strategic partner of TP driving cloud computing and AI adoption through education, industry collaboration, and research.
In 2024, AWS and TP established the FutureX Centre, a dedicated space in TP to support student training, staff upskilling, industry project development, and the co-creation of training materials. This initiative underscores AWS’s commitment to developing Singapore’s digital talent pipeline by integrating cutting-edge cloud and AI technologies into TP’s ecosystem.
In supporting future tech talent, AWS collaborates closely with TP to enhance staff capabilities, revamp curricula, and integrate cloud-based AI development into TP’s academic programs. Through specialised training, knowledge-sharing sessions, and real-world applications, AWS empowers TP’s educators to deliver industry-relevant learning experiences. The partnership also extends to technical consultancy, enabling students and staff to work on solution development and testing that align with industry standards.
Through this dynamic partnership, it strengthens TP’s position as a leader in cloud computing education and applied AI research, equipping all students with future-ready digital skills and fostering innovation across disciplines.
Changi Airport Group (CAG) has been a strong partner of TP, offering over 250 internship placements in the past three years alone. CAG actively engages with the Diploma in Aviation Management on various student engagement activities to prepare them for a future career in aviation. CAG actively engages with students including those from the Diploma in Aviation Management on various engagement activities such as participating in CAG’s annual multi-agency crisis management exercise to prepare them for a future career in aviation. Beyond that, CAG has collaborated with TP on projects in showcasing young designers and talent, use of innovation and technology, Continuing Education & Training programs in areas like facilities management, as well as supporting the Career Conversion Programme for Air Transport Professionals under Workforce Singapore.
With Terminal 5 in development and Changi Airport’s capacity set to expand to 140 million passengers annually by the mid-2030s, TP and CAG aim to cultivate long-term aviation careers and offers scholarship opportunities for eligible students through the introduction of the Student Opportunities for Aviation Readiness (SOAR) programme this year.
As a key aviation stakeholder, CAG provides practical insights and real-world applications to enhance learning for both students and staff. At the same time, TP plays a vital role in addressing industry manpower needs while serving as a platform for CAG to trial innovative solutions and prototyping.
Changi General Hospital (CGH) has been a key partner of TP since 2018, driving initiatives that enhance staff and student development, industry consultancy, joint research projects and joint research funding programmes. This long-standing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing healthcare education, research, and workforce readiness, ensuring that TP’s students and faculty stay at the forefront of industry advancements.
CGH provides real-world consultancy opportunities for TP’s School of Engineering and School of Informatics & IT, equipping staff and students with hands-on industry experience. This exposure enables them to develop innovative solutions that address industry needs, from digital healthcare technologies to hospital workflow optimisation. The hospital also actively contributes to training through customised workshops and has supported internships for students offering them valuable exposure to real-world healthcare operations and helping build a strong talent pipeline for Singapore’s healthcare sector.
Through this strong and evolving partnership, CGH continues to play a vital role in shaping TP’s healthcare education and research, bridging the gap between academia and industry to develop future-ready healthcare professionals and innovative solutions for the sector.
Iora Fashion Pte Ltd has been a key partner in supporting students from the rebranded Diploma in Apparel Design & Merchandising through internship opportunities and full-time employment placements.
In recent years, Iora has collaborated on funded fashion and merchandising projects, providing students with hands-on industry experience and deepening their understanding of the fashion industry. In 2024, Iora further strengthened its commitment by sponsoring the diploma’s Graduation Prize and actively participating in the Work-Study Programme, hiring TP graduates and reinforcing their dedication to talent development.
Beyond student opportunities, Iora has played a significant role in course curriculum development. Their industry expertise contributed to the launch of the Specialist Diploma in Sustainable Fashion and guided the rebranding of the Diploma in Apparel Design & Merchandising to what it is now known as Diploma in Fashion Management & Design.
Through these initiatives, Iora has enriched students’ learning experiences, enhanced their career readiness, and helped shape a more dynamic and industry-relevant fashion education at TP.
Kwong Cheong Thye Pte Ltd (KCT) has been a key partner in training TP’s Diploma in Food, Nutrition & Culinary Science students, offering structured internships and real-world projects that aligns with industry needs and standards. This partnership has enhanced students' project competencies and allowed TP to integrate industry best practices into its teaching.
KCT has facilitated numerous learning journeys for students and staff. Beyond training, KCT has contributed to the building of staff capability by providing access to specialised equipment for scaling up of projects which is vital in equipping students with industry-relevant skills and real-world experience, ensuring their long-term success in the food and nutrition sector.
Additionally, KCT has supported industry consultancy projects, leading to the successful completion of five new food products. The company has also contributed scholarships and continues to support the growth of future talent.
NESTLÉ R&D Singapore has been a long-standing partner of TP, sharing cutting-edge industry trends since 2008 and actively supporting student development.
In 2024, students from School of Applied Science (ASC) even participated in the Nestlé Youth Entrepreneurship Programme, Nestlé’s flagship initiative in Singapore. Nestlé generously sponsored prizes for all participants and winning teams, fostering student innovation and entrepreneurship. The programme was also extended to ASC’s overseas interns from Chulalongkong University, with Nestlé funding travel and ingredient costs. Our students, alongside Nestlé mentors, guided the interns in developing four new products, which were later presented at Nestlé headquarters, generating significant publicity for TP’s Diploma in Food, Nutrition & Culinary Science.
Beyond student programs, Nestle continues to support TP through Skills Mastery Awards as well as internships in Sales and Marketing for our students. The partnership also enhances staff development through industry work trips, connecting TP with global leaders in Bangkok and Switzerland. Nestlé has also collaborated with TP on consultancy, staff-level industry projects and joint research across multiple disciplines and includes collaborations in China, Switzerland, Hong Kong and France, reinforcing TP’s global engagement in the food and nutrition industry.
OMRON Electronics Pte Ltd has partnered with TP to establish the TP-OMRON Proof-of-Concept Lab & Training Hub, supported by funding from SkillsFuture Singapore and OMRON.
Through this collaboration, OMRON has facilitated staff attachments, train-the-trainer programs for staff, student internships, and book prize sponsorships. Each year, over 500 students from the School of Engineering benefit from free access to OMRON’s e-learning portal, deepening their knowledge in Advanced Manufacturing. Since 2021, OMRON has jointly curated 6 Continued Education & Training programs, alongside masterclass, industry talks and training in Functional Safety and Robotics & Automation, benefitting over 1,000 adult learners.
In partnership with TP, OMRON has successfully driven 20 industry implementations in digital, logistics, and F&B sectors. The partnership has also contributed over $1 million worth of industrial robotics and inspection training systems, further strengthening TP’s capabilities in automation and smart manufacturing.
Powerzone H2 Techologies Pte Ltd is a key spin-off company of TP, exemplifying how TP’s Research, Innovation, and Enterprise activities translate into real-world impact By commercialising TP’s Catalyst Coated Membrane technology, Powerzone has played a vital role in bringing cutting-edge hydrogen technology to market. This partnership reflects TP’s vision of extracting value from research and deploying innovations as new products and services in collaboration with enterprises.
Beyond technology licensing, Powerzone is also working closely with researchers to advance hydrogen energy solutions. This ongoing collaboration reinforces Powerzone’s commitment to sustainable energy innovation while demonstrating the commercial viability of TP’s research-driven solutions. Through this successful industry partnership, TP continues to drive technology adoption, industry growth, and sustainable energy advancements in Singapore.
