Temasek Polytechnic (TP) has partnered with companies to give design students the opportunity to support environmental protection by upcycling renovation waste into beautiful home furnishings. One of the partners, Pepperwall, a supplier of acoustic panels and wallpaper, shared that acoustic panels are already made from recycled materials, so turning waste into something else will further extend the life of the product and reduce the amount of waste. Pepperwall partnered TP in 2022 for students to do internships at the company and design new products under the guidance of product designers.
