Young Environmental Leaders

The National Environment Board has selected 19-year-old Muhammad Shamim and 18-year-old Salas Priya Ezekiel as Environmental Sustainability Leaders with the aim of creating a green, sustainable world. Both received recognition at the Clean Enviro Summit held from 19-21 June at the Marina Bay Sands Expo Convention Centre. Shamim, who is pursuing a Diploma in Big Data and Analytics at Temasek Polytechnic, has received the National Environment Board's 2024 Industrial Merit Award. The ex-gratia salary was introduced in 2020 with the aim of attracting young people to the field of environmental services and making them skilled workers.
