Module Overview

People are generating information all the time when they post things on Facebook, Instagram, buy something on eBay and post comments online. In fact, people are generating large amounts of data each day and all these provide rich information about people, their habits and preferences. In this module, students will learn how to use analytics tools to make sense of large amounts of data. Students will also learn about artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning through hands-on activities that they participate in. 

 

This module will be conducted within a duration of 22.5 hours.

What You'll Learn

At the end of the module, students will be able to:

 

  1. Use analytics tools to make sense of the data that they collect
  2. Create interactive dashboards for data visualisation
  3. Explain what AI and machine learning are

 

Assessment Components
Students will be assessed based on the following:

  1. Interactive Dashboard Solution
  2. Dashboard Presentation

 

Completion Criteria
Students are required to:

 

  • Fulfill at least 67% of the attendance and
  • Obtain a pass mark of at least 50% upon completion of the module.
