Module Overview

Have you ever wondered what goes behind-the-scenes during the F1-Singapore Grand Prix, a K-pop concert or trade show? Or who are involved and how successful the events are? How do events impact tourism?

This module will provide you with a broad understanding of planning, organising and staging events and an overview of job opportunities in the industry. You will learn about the diversity of events, roles, and contributions to the tourism industry.

You will get an opportunity to plan a group activity and go on an experiential field visit to find out more about events planning as part of the overall event management process. As you learn about events concepts, elements of event logistics, staging of a face-to-face and virtual event, and event evaluation, you can put these skills to use when you plan for a birthday party, a CCA leadership camp, or a Teachers’ Day Concert etc.

This module will be conducted within a duration of 22.5 hours.
