TP Horticulture Service Facility
TPHSF is currently the only orchid seedpod germination and plantlet propagation provider for the floriculture industry. It also provides plantlet tissue culture services for other plant species such as costus, ginger and ornamental aquatic plantlets. TPHSF has worked with ornamental fish farm and retail shops since 2006, and works closely with HSC to expand its services to support both the flowering and ornamental plant industries, as well as the public.
All plant tissue culture work is performed under stringent aseptic conditions and Standard Operating Procedures by a team of experienced staff.
Temasek Polytechnic, School of Applied Science (ASC) has been providing orchid plantlet tissue culture services to orchid nursery farms since 2005. In January 2018, the TP Horticulture Services Facility (TPHSF) was established to meet the industry needs after the cessation of the orchid plantlet, seedling propagation and seedpod germination services by the then-known, Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), Horticulture Services Centre (HSC).

Payment Method
TPHSF will collect the upfront payment for the seedpod germination processing fees and tissue culture services.
Payment for any TPHSF service is via AXS mobile app or at the machine.

Plant Drop-off
The public is requested to drop-off their plantlets and seedpods for our collection at the School of Applied Science General Office at East Wing, Block 1A, level 3.
Please email to arrange an appointment for sample submission or collection of orchid seedpods/ plant parts.
Drop-off Location
1. Enter by the Temasek Polytechnic East Gate (nearest to the Tampines West MRT Station).
2. Go to Block 1A, take the lift to level 3 and proceed to the School of Applied Science (ASC) General Office to meet the staff from the TP Horticulture Service Facility.
