Course Overview

 

The course will equip learners with the knowledge and skills to support the continued growth of environmental care in Singapore in the areas of air, water and solid waste pollution control and management, as well as the new sustainable economy, particularly in the areas of energy management and sustainability.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

What You'll Learn

This subject covers the scientific principles behind the membrane separation processes, and the classification of industrial wastewaters and the strategies for wastewater treatment to meet trade effluent standards and for resource recovery.

 

 

Modes of Assessment

 

Written and practical tests, case studies, assignments and projects

 

 

Certification

 

Upon successful completion of the modular unit, students will be awarded a Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Specialist Diploma in Environment and Water Technology.
