Who Should Attend
This course is suitable for individuals or organisations participants who are from the social service, community and health/healthcare sectors, as well as those who are keen to work with older adults.

In this program, you will be guided through course topics and encouraged to put your new knowledge into practice with the health challenges presented within the course scenario. You will be equipped with knowledge and skills to:
- identify the steps in programme planning, development, implementation and evaluation
- identify health promotion programming skills
- systematically apply program planning tools to prepare a health promotion and active ageing plan
Assessment
Written assignments, reflective application and discussion forums to reinforce participants’ understanding of key concepts and application of concepts learnt for each topic.

Ms Sharifah Rose Ee
Rose is a lecturer in Temasek Polytechnic, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, teaching the Diploma in Social Sciences in Gerontology and the Specialist Diploma in Gerontology (Optimal Ageing Practice/Nutrition for Ageing Well). She holds a degree in Sociology with Communications from Singapore University of Social Sciences and a Master of Ageing from the University of Melbourne. She specialises in age-related health issues, social ageing and health promotion.
Ms Nurdiyanah Kamsan (Dee)
Dee is a lecturer in Temasek Polytechnic, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, teaching the Diploma in Social Sciences in Gerontology and the Specialist Diploma in Gerontology (Optimal Ageing Practice/Nutrition for Ageing Well). She holds a Masters Degree in Commerce from the University of Western Australia. She is also currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Applied Gerontology from Nanyang Technological University. Her interests are studies relating to social isolation and loneliness in Singapore, building networks through community development with older adults and understanding the buying behaviour of older adults through marketing.
