Chin Joo is the Head of Content & Curriculum in GoImpact where he oversees the development of the training curriculum and content as well as the assessments for all courses owned by GoImpact. He works closely with industry leaders to ensure that the curriculum is current and relevant while designing delivery plans that make lessons engaging and effective.

Prior to joining GoImpact, Chin Joo spent more than 20 years in Nanyang Polytechnic, a government-funded institute of higher learning where he had the opportunity to work in different roles including academic and assessment policy development and implementation, continuing education & training, and most recently, campus development & operations. In between, he was seconded to Singapore’s Ministry of Education where he worked on strategic planning cycle development, education policy, and organisational development.

As part of the executive team in Nanyang Polytechnic, Chin Joo is Chair of the institution’s Environmental Sustainability Committee, Workplace Safety & Health Committee, and leads the secretariat team for the Board of Governors.

Chin Joo is thoroughly familiar with the Singapore Skills Framework due to his on-going participation in the Advanced Certificate for Learning & Performance run by the Institute of Adult Learning, and institution of the Singapore University for Social Science. He holds a PhD in education and a Master of Arts in education management from the Nanyang Technological University, an MBA from Leicester University, and a Master of Science in environmental engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from the National University of Singapore.
