Mr Alvin Poh has more than 37 years of experience in teaching and working in the field of Laboratory Medicine and Clinical Research. He has been teaching Anatomy, Physiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Clinical Chemistry, Laboratory Management & Quality Assurance, Haematology and Blood Banking over the last 27 years (1997 to current). He was also the Principal Investigator of several consultancy projects for testing the efficacies of Traditional Medicine products for small, and medium enterprises and publicly listed companies since 2006. Prior to this, he was a Research Assistant in the Department of Surgery, NUS working on Islet Cell Transplantation, Artificial Liver and the pioneering work of Clinical Liver Transplantation in Singapore (1991-1997); a Medical Technologist in the Department of Laboratory Medicine, NUH (1989-91), in the Department of Haematology, SGH (1987-89) and in Singapore Blood Transfusion Service (1983).
