Course Overview

This immersive, interactive, and practical program aims to provide participants with the skills to understand and address various sustainability challenges through hands-on activities and workshops. Participants will gain insights into environmental stewardship, resource management, and sustainable practices, equipping them with practical knowledge to implement sustainability initiatives within their organisations.



The course aimed to empower participants to drive positive change and contribute to a more sustainable future. This program will provide a platform to understand sustainability-related issues, develop plans for staff upgrading and reskilling, and embark on Proof of Concept (PoC) projects and applied projects aimed at promoting sustainability within their organisations. Through collaboration with various centres of excellence, participants will gain practical knowledge and insights into implementing sustainable practices.

Who Should Attend

Sustainability Managers/Coordinators, Facilities Managers: Professionals, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Managers, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager, Operations Managers, Engineers and Technicians, Project Managers, Educators and Trainers.

What You'll Learn

Session 1:

Participants will embark on a discovery learning journey to gain insight into the approach to the use of innovative application of technologies, processes and methods.

This includes site visits to selected centres (subject to confirmation) with capabilities in sustainability domains such as:

  • Integrative Built Environment Centre (IBEC)
  • Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC) & Electric Vehicle Lab
  • Centre for Urban Sustainability (CUS)
  • Centre for Aquaculture & Veterinary Science (CAVS)
  • Centre for Research & Opportunities in Plant Science (CROPS)

 

Session 2:

Trainee will participate in a series of taster programs delivered in the form of hands-on workshops (subject to confirmation) to deepen participants' understanding of different areas of sustainability such as:

  • Energy & Battery Management
  • Sustainable Design
  • Carbon Footprint & Reporting
  • Food & Environmental Sustainability

From the experiential Learning Journey and series of Workshops, Temasek Polytechnic and its Industry Partners aim to collaborate with participants' organizations in understanding the sustainability-related issues and develop plans for staff upgrading and reskilling, as well as to work on Proof of Concept (PoC) Projects and Applied Projects.

 

 

Certification

 

Participants who meet at least 75% of the required course attendance and attempt the assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Performance.
