Course Overview
Basic
Delivered in direct association with RECOVER (Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation), RECOVER CPR is the only official veterinary CPR certification recognized by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), and is a non-profit program. This is designed for veterinary professionals to learn alongside each other and with the aim of increasing theoretical knowledge and practical expertise, in a resuscitation situation. It is the first peer-reviewed small animal CPR course that teaches the essential concepts needed to maximize outcomes in patients with cardiopulmonary arrest. The course is also suitable for vets/nurses to attend as individuals and take their learning directly back to the practice team.
RECOVER offers certification for veterinary professionals in Basic Life Support (BLS) through a 2-step process involving online and in-person training:
The online course for Basic Life Support contains 5 modules in an interactive digital content that is accessed through a web browser. Participants will complete a knowledge assessment after each module and are required to score over 80% in order to advance to the next module.
