  • Safe and cost-effective operation and maintenance of robots, cobots and automation systems
  • Recommending customization and enhancement of automation equipment to meet the needs of the environmental services sector

What You'll Learn

  • Robots, Cobots and Automated Systems
    Explain the various types of cleaning robots, differentiate between robotics and cobotics and when the latter would be more effective in environmental services.

  • Automated System Operations
    Demonstrate the use of automated systems commonly deployed in commercial buildings and F&B establishments. Students will be trained to operate various cleaning robots and receive instruction in the components, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.

  • Industry applications
    Analyse how and when cleaning robots and automated systems, such as the automated tray return system (ATRS) in food courts and janitorial cobots, can be deployed cost-effectively.

  • Living Laboratory
    Immerse in Temasek Polytechnic’s living laboratory and gain hands-on experience of how various automated and monitoring systems are utilized in campus estate management.
