Course Overview
This course is designed to equip individuals with essential skills and knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in modern vehicles, which are likely to become mandatory in the near future. It is especially beneficial for professionals in the automotive industry who are transitioning to roles involving these technologies, as well as for those seeking to enhance their expertise in these specialised areas.
This course aims to equip the participants with knowledge and skills on:
- Overview of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
- Differentiating between commonly found ADAS features in modern vehicles - Adaptive cruise control - Lane keep assist - Automatic parking
- Operation of Radar and LiDAR Systems
- Operation of GPS and Navigation Systems
- Understanding of how ADAS communicates with other vehicle systems
- Type of sensors and cameras as well as their calibration and alignment as part of regular car servicing
- Evolution and future trends of ADAS

Mr Tan Chong Kai
Chong Kai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia. Before joining Temasek Polytechnic as a lecturer, he amassed 12 years of extensive experience as a mechanical engineer, specializing in the design and integration of Powertrain Systems for the automotive industry. His career was marked by significant contributions to various high-profile projects, where he demonstrated exceptional technical skills and leadership in advancing automotive powertrain technologies.

Mr Roland Ho Swee Hong is the Tech. Specialist at EV Maintenance Department, BlueSG. He is equipped with more than 30 years of experience in automobile industry. His wide spectrum of qualification and experiences are listed as below.
